Check the grounded outlet, power switch, circuit protection and motor thermal overload. Inspect power cord and the pressure switch state; never bypass protection.
Check the tank drain valve, regulator, air hose, fittings and connections for leaks. Worn valves, piston seals or pump defects require qualified service.
Inspect for air leaks, restricted intake filter, excessive tool demand and pump wear. Compare fill behavior only with specifications for the exact model.
Stop using the compressor if it exceeds its specified cut-out pressure. A failed pressure switch or regulator requires service; never adjust the safety relief valve.
Use the specified branch circuit, avoid undersized extension cords, and check for blocked pump, low voltage or motor faults.
Identify the cut-in and cut-out behavior using the correct manual. Do not defeat the switch or modify factory pressure settings.
Inspect the regulator knob and outlet gauge. Tank and regulated outlet pressures differ; replace defective components with approved parts.
Use a safe approved method to locate leaks at fittings and hoses after following depressurization instructions. Never repair or weld a damaged pressure tank.
Depressurize the tank according to the manual. Inspect the drain valve and replace damaged components using the approved procedure.
Immediately stop the unit if the relief valve activates unexpectedly. Do not plug or modify it; have the compressor inspected.
Check duty cycle, ambient temperature, ventilation, intake restriction and air leaks. Allow motor to cool following manual guidance.
Check mounting, vibration, loose accessories and pump condition with power off and pressure relieved. Abnormal knocking requires service.
Check whether the model is oil-free or oil-lubricated. Only oil-lubricated models require the specified oil type and fill level; never add oil to an oil-free pump.
Compare tool SCFM needs with compressor ratings, inspect hoses and couplers, and check the regulator setting.
Drain tank condensation after use as instructed; use a suitable moisture separator for applications requiring drier air.
Check the pressure switch cut-in condition, motor cool-down period, electrical supply and check valve or unloader issues.
Check hoses, quick-connect couplers, drain valve and fittings; potential check valve problems require service.
Relieve pressure before changing hoses or couplers and use the correct replacement fitting.
Compare tank and outlet gauges, verify the regulator setting and replace defective gauges with rated parts.
Verify the nailer operating pressure and air consumption, adjust the regulator within both tools’ rated limits, and secure fittings.
Drain moisture after use, protect from freezing, keep the power cord dry, and follow model-specific storage instructions.
